How to Apply
The Foundation has been making annual grants in several categories:
Capacity Building Grants
Each year the Foundation has joined with Auction Napa Valley, Napa Valley Community Foundation and the E. Richard Jones Family Foundation to provide a fund for capacity building grants. The applications are made to the Community Foundation. As of 2010 the Gasser Foundation has contributed $206,688 to capacity building grants, and the four foundations combined have awarded approximately $800,000 in capacity building grants.
Graffiti Clean Up Grants
Each year the Foundation has granted a $5000 grant to the City of Napa to help clean up graffiti. As of 2010 the grants have totaled $48,000.
Hands Across the Valley
Each year the Foundation has helped to underwrite the cost of the Hands Across the Valley event to raise money for food programs for the poor. Contributions as of 2010 total $140,000.
Texas Hold Em
As of 2010 the Foundation has granted $34,000 to Community Action of Napa Valley to help underwrite the cost of its fundraiser for the South Napa Homeless Shelter.
Napa Valley Symphony
Each year the Foundation has made a grant of $25,000 to the Napa Valley Symphony to help underwrite the cost of their programs. As of 2010 the grants total $395,000.
