How to Apply

The Gasser Foundation is committed to the well-being of Napa County - its people and places. To that end, the Foundation supports programs which enhance quality of life and sustain the environment. Fields of interest include: the arts, education, economic development for charitable purposes, health and human services, nutrition and shelter, recreation and the environment. Environmental sustainability guides the Foundations action in all its undertakings.

The foundation is now accepting letters of interest for 2012 project funding. Letters must be submitted before September 30, 2011. They will be reviewed prior to a funding decision by the Gasser Board of Directors in early January 2010. Full grant applications will be by invitation only. Grants will be made for capital expenditures, infrastructure improvement and one time expenses, but not operating funds.

Funds available to grants this year have been reduced by approximately 11% due to the need for a greater reserve for emergency purposes as well as a dimunition in rent income to the foundation funds. The Foundation will not be making grants for new programs in 2010.

Letters of interest must indicate long-term capacity and sustainability for the proposed project, if the request is not for a one time expense. Must be a 501(c)3 and within Napa County. Funds must not be for operating costs or for political purposes. For information on how to receive an invitation to apply for a grant, please send a request in writing addressed to Joseph Peatman, President of the Gasser Foundation to this address:
